Description
The Moors is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century or 18th century, with some late 20th century additions. It features a timber frame with plaster and brick infill, a concrete tiled roof, and an external stone stack with a detached brick chimney at the east end. The building is designed in an L-shape, with two framed bays on each arm and the main entrance facing north.
On the north elevation, the right side has a mock timber frame that includes a three-light late 20th century casement window, with two contemporary two-light casements above in a raking top dormer. To the left, at the junction of the two ranges, there is a late 20th century single light window that fills a full panel, and a similar window is located in the gable of the projecting wing. The entrance is accessed through a late 20th century glazed porch attached to the east side of the projecting wing. The frame consists of square panels, three high from the cill to the wall-plate. Additionally, there is a large single storey late 20th century extension at the rear of the west arm. The building is included for its group value.
