Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a late 18th-century extension to the north. It features a timber frame with plaster infill set on a rubble plinth and has corrugated iron roofs. There is a former external stone stack to the south, which is concealed by a low timber-framed extension. The building is two storeys high and has a continuous range of two plus one bays aligned north to south.
On the west elevation, there are two mid-19th century fixed light glazing bar windows, one on each side, with two 2-light casements above them, each featuring an early 19th-century wrought iron opening part. To the right side, there is a ledged late 19th-century door beneath a gabled canopy made of corrugated iron. The extension includes 20th-century casements, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor.
