Description
Waterway and the attached cider house to the north is a house and cider house, likely built in the late 17th century to 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick and plaster infill and an asbestos slate roof, with a central stack located at the south. The house has three bays aligned east to west, while the two-bay cider house projects north from the east end. The house is one storey with an attic; on the north elevation, there is a 9-pane late 19th century casement window to the right of the entrance and a mid-20th century vented window to the right. A small gabled dormer, probably from the early 20th century, is located to the right of the mid-20th century glazed door. The frame consists of three panels high from the cill to the wall-plate. Inside, there are run-out chamfer stops on the beam in the principal ground floor room. The cider house contains a cider mill in situ in the north bay, and the south bay is reputed to have housed a cider press.
