Description
Longlands Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with 19th-century alterations. It consists of two sections, both featuring timber framing three panels high and slate roofs, arranged end-to-end and oriented north to south. The southern part has an external stone stack of local type, a raised 19th-century roof, and is two storeys tall with two bays. The south elevation includes two late 19th-century casement windows to the left of the entrance, one mid-20th-century casement to the right, and two mid-20th-century casements on the first floor, along with a ledged mid-19th-century door. The northern part is one storey with an attic and also has two bays; its west elevation features continuous weather planking at first floor level and two ledged doors. There is a circa 1900 leaded window in the north gable above two tiers of weathering.
