Description
Gatchpin is a cottage that likely dates from the early 18th century and was extended in the late 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with plaster infill, an asbestos slate roof, and a stone end stack on the left side with a brick shaft, along with a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center. The building is probably composed of two structural bays oriented roughly north to south and has one storey with an attic.
The east elevation includes two windows: there are 2-light mid-20th century casements on the ground floor and gabled dormers within the timber-framed section, as well as a 3-light casement in the projecting catslide extension on the right side. The entrance is a ledged door located at the center of the timber-framed part.
