Description
1 and 2 Little Hill is a farmhouse that has been converted into two tenements. It likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. The building features a timber frame with brick infill and a tiled roof, topped by a central cruciform brick stack. It has three bays arranged roughly southwest to northeast and stands two storeys high with three windows. The windows are 2-light casements from the 19th century. There are two entrances, one on the left and one on the right, each featuring ledged 19th-century doors and tiled canopies supported by brackets. The timber frame consists of four panels high from the cill to the wall-plate, with corner posts and posts that divide the bays having angle braces connecting to the wall-plates or tie-beams. The central bay is smaller than the outer bays.
