Description
Pankeymoor Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, originally built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and a plinth, topped by a slate roof. The original two-cell plan has been extended by one short bay to the right, likely in the late 19th century. The building has one storey and an attic. The framing includes light and irregular square and rectangular panels, with four panels from the cill to the wall-plate, short straight tension braces, long straight tension braces, and V-struts extending from the collar to the left gable end. There are small 20th-century casement windows, with two to the left and one to the right of the entrance, which features a late 20th-century panelled door. Additionally, there are two contemporary gabled eaves dormers. Inside, there is a red brick end stack to the left, and a similar stack at the junction with the 19th-century addition has an 18th-century shaft abutting it.
