Description
Cockyard Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster infill, topped with a pantiled roof and featuring an external stone end stack with a brick shaft. The building consists of two structural bays that are aligned roughly north-west to south-east and stands two storeys tall.
The north-east elevation facing the road has two windows that are symmetrically placed; these are late 19th century to early 20th century casements. The ground floor is partially obscured by a pantiled rubble lean-to, with the entrance located on the right-hand side. To the left gable, there is an end stack flanked by one window towards the east. At the time of the re-survey in January 1985, the farmhouse was undergoing modernization.
