Description

This barn, located approximately 15 metres south-west of Little Catley Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century and incorporates two altered cruck trusses from an earlier structure. The roof was altered in the mid-19th century. It is timber-framed with weatherboard cladding and a sandstone plinth, topped with a slate roof. The barn features three framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east orientation, with a central threshing floor. The two central cruck trusses have been cut at the ridge to accommodate a later pitch. The barn is situated prominently in the farmyard near Little Catley Farmhouse.
