Description
This barn, located approximately 10 metres north east of Cat Hill Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed, squared rubble and features a stone slate roof with quoins. The barn has a central cart entry with an oak lintel and a wide entrance to the left that has a quoined surround. There is an inserted door to the right, and at the rear, there is an opposing doorway also with a quoined surround. Other openings in the barn are later additions, and there is a small vent in each gable apex. A single-storey addition to the left is not included in this listing. Inside, the barn has principal rafter trusses with large-scantling tie-beams.
