Description

This barn, located about 25 yards south of The White House, is likely from the early 18th century. It features a rubble plinth and a timber frame covered with weatherboards, topped by a corrugated iron roof. The barn has six bays that run in a north-west to south-east direction. The second bay from the south-east includes ledged opposed doors leading to the threshing floor, while the doors on the south-west side are full-height. There is an early 20th-century open lean-to attached to the right side of the north-east elevation. The frame consists of three panels high from the plinth. Inside, there are raking struts connecting the ties to the principals, with collars supported by queen struts.
