Description

This barn, located about 100 metres west of Comberton House, dates back to the 17th century and has undergone some repairs in the late 19th century. It features a timber-frame construction with woven infill and is weatherboarded, topped with a tile roof. The barn consists of four framed bays arranged in an east-west orientation, with a threshing floor situated to the east of the centre. The threshing floor is accessible via full-height doors on the north side facing the road. The framing includes three square panels in height, with intermediate trusses that have two raking struts each. The gable ends are supported by three struts to the collar and V-struts at the apex. The purlins are trenched. Note that Comberton House itself is not included in this listing.
