Description
This barn, located about 10 metres north of Comberton Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and was extended in the early 19th century, with some repairs made in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with some woven infill, is weatherboarded, and sits on a coursed rubble plinth topped with a tile roof. The barn consists of eleven framed bays arranged east to west. The three bays on the west side form a barn with a central threshing floor, which includes a pair of full-height doors. The next three bays have two loft doors above two single-light casements. Part of the south wall has been rebuilt using concrete blocks. The following three bays also have two loft doors, and the final two bays at the eastern end feature two loft doors above an entrance with a ledged and boarded door. This barn is included for its group value.
