Description
Lauristina is a house that dates from the 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations and enlargements made during the mid-19th century, along with some 20th-century changes. It has a timber-framed core, which is partially refaced with brick and partially rendered, and features a brick addition from the 19th century at the rear. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate. The building has a rectangular plan with a 19th-century wing extending to the rear, a central entrance, and a large gable-end stack on the west side, as well as an axial stack on the east side.
The house is two storeys tall with attics, featuring one dormer that has a 3-light casement window. On the first floor, there are three 3-light casement windows, while the ground floor includes one 2-light casement window and a French casement to the left, and one 2-light casement window and a large 3-light casement window to the right of a 20th-century glazed porch that has a glazed inner door. Inside, square panelled timber-framing is revealed. The building is included for its group value.
