Description

Hazel Dene is a house with a partial 17th-century origin, significantly extended and altered in the late 18th or early 19th century, and further modified in the 20th century. It is constructed of square-panelled timber framing with a brick plinth and plastered infill, with a rendered ground floor, and has a Welsh slate roof. The original two-bay arrangement, aligned east/west, likely dates from the 17th century, with later additions to the west side. The building has gable-end and lateral stacks, and the main entrance is on the south front. It is two storeys high and features five 2-light casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor has one similar window to the left of a ledged door, three further similar windows to the right, a doorway with a canopied porch and a ledged door with glazed inset. The building is included on the register for its group value.
