Description
West Croft is a house that has been divided into three tenements. It dates from the 17th century and has late 19th and 20th century alterations. The building features square panelled timber-framing, which is revealed at the rear, with painted brick infill and a completely roughcast north front, set on a sandstone rubble plinth. The roof is made of Welsh slate.
The house consists of four bays aligned east to west, with a cross-wing at the east end that extends to both the north and south. There are three entrances on the north front and lateral stacks. The building is two storeys high, with the gable end of the cross-wing on the left side featuring one three-light casement window and one two-light window on the ground floor. The main wing to the right has two three-light casement windows and two similar windows on the first floor. Additionally, there are three panelled doors with gabled canopies, each flanked by three-light windows.
