Description
Bridge House is a house dating from the 17th century, which was extended in the early 19th century and has undergone further alterations and additions in the 20th century. The building features square panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill, while the 19th-century addition has roughcast render. It has Welsh slate roofs and is arranged in three bays aligned north to south, with a cross-wing to the south that has been cut back to the west. A later wing runs parallel to the earlier wing, and there are axial and end stacks.
The house is two storeys high, with the west entrance front being part of the 19th-century addition. This front has a dentilled eaves cornice, two three-light casement windows with cambered heads, and a central part-glazed door with a pedimented surround. Inside, the earlier wing features a cross-beamed ceiling and a large open fireplace with a chamfered surround.
