Description
Pilgrims is a house that was likely built in the 14th or 15th century and has undergone significant alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries, including raising the roof. There have been further changes in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed with plastered infill sitting on a sandstone rubble plinth and has a Welsh slate roof. It consists of four framed bays and features an axial stack. The entrance is located on the south front. The house has two storeys, with three leaded casement windows on the left side and three similar 2-light casement windows on the right. The ground floor includes a ledged door that was previously accessed by steps to the left of a 2-light casement window. There are steps leading up to a central ledged door, with a 2-light window to the right and a single-light window to the left of a third ledged door, which also has steps up and a 2-light window to the right. The interior retains a cruck truss.
