Description
Nurses Cottage and Rowena Cottage is a range of two tenements dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century alterations. The buildings are timber-framed, featuring a combination of wattle-and-daub and painted brick infill set on a sandstone rubble plinth, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The structure consists of five framed bays oriented east to west, with lateral stacks at the rear and entrances on the south front. It stands two storeys high and has seven 2-light casement windows on both the first and ground floors. To the left of the ledged door, there are two similar windows, and a further ledged door with steps leads up. To the right, there are four irregularly spaced 2-light windows from the 20th and 19th centuries.
