Description

This is a range of 17th and 18th century tenements on Market Street. The buildings are timber-framed and have been plastered, with weatherboards visible below the windows. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles, and features two plain red brick chimney stacks. The first storey has six sash windows, horned, with the westernmost pair being slightly barred. The ground floor has four doors and four three-part sash windows. A modern shop window is located at the east end. The westernmost door has a wooden surround and a flat hood, above which is a sundial inscribed with the date '1759'.
