Description
The Crown Public House is a 15th to 16th century building located on Market Street. It is timber framed and plastered, standing two storeys tall with a T-plan layout. The roof features ridges and gables, covered with modern red clay tiles, and includes one gabled dormer. The cross wing has a set of three casement windows with two mullions and one transom, all beneath a square hoodmould. The ground storey of the wing contains a door and a three-part sash window, both also under square hoodmoulds. On the first storey of the stem range, there is a set of three small-paned casements with modern windows, and an un-written name board spans the full length at first floor level.
