Description
The range of three tenements located to the west of The Old Forge dates back to the 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the late 19th century. The structure is timber-framed, with the ground floor refaced in brick, and an eastern tenement added in brick at a later date. The upper floor features wattle-and-daub infill within square panelled timber-framing and is topped with a Welsh slate roof.
The building consists of two framed bays aligned east to west, with entrances on the north front and axial stacks. It stands two storeys high and has four 2-light casement windows on the first floor. To the left of the main door, there is another 2-light casement window, and to the right, a further doorway with two casement windows. There is also a ledged door, a blocked doorway, and a 3-light casement window to the right. Notably, the beam supporting the upper floor appears to be moulded, suggesting that the upper floor may have originally jutted out.
