Description

Burghill Manor is a house dating back to the 17th century, significantly altered and encased during the late 18th or early 19th century, with further additions in the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. It is rectangular in plan, featuring an entrance positioned slightly left of centre and end chimney stacks. The building has two storeys, marked by a string course. On the first floor are five windows, each with two lights and casements. The ground floor includes a 20th-century bay window to the left and one two-light casement window to the right of the doorway, which has an open pedimented surround. The doorway itself is semi-circular and features a decorative fanlight above a six-panelled door. A late 19th-century embattled tower is situated at the rear. Inside, the main living room retains plastered ceilings from the 17th century.
