Description
Burghill Grange is a house with a 17th-century core, but it mainly dates from the 18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The earlier timber-framed section is encased in brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a half H-shaped plan with a central entrance, an axial stack, and a pair of lateral stacks on each wing, with the 17th-century part largely incorporated into the south wing. It stands two storeys high with attics. The main front is symmetrical, featuring gables on either side of the central section. The windows are arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern, with semi-circular headed windows in the gables, paired glazing bar sash windows below, and additional glazing bar sash windows in the central block. The central doorway is adorned with pilasters and a cornice, leading to a six-panelled door. The interior is reported to contain panelling and 18th-century plaster ceilings.
