Description
Pyefinch Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It features 19th-century additions and 20th-century alterations. The structure is timber-framed with painted brick infill set on a sandstone plinth. The front has a tiled roof from the 20th century, while the rear is covered with stone slates. The farmhouse consists of three framed bays that run east to west, with a rear lateral stack and a lean-to at the front. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring one 2-light casement window in the dormer, a 3-light 20th-century window to the left, and a pair of single vertical glazing bar sash windows to the right of the gabled porch, which has a ledged door. There is a lean-to addition that extends forward to the right of the sash windows. The framing of the building appears largely intact, with three square panels from the sill to the wall plate and V-struts in the gable. Inside, the farmhouse retains a chamfered cross-beamed ceiling and a large open fireplace in the main living room.
