Description
Scraptoft Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with an extension added around 1800. It has a timber-framed core that is clad in red brick, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring a brick central ridge and wing end stacks. The facade faces the rear and consists of two storeys with two casement windows: a three-light centre-opening window and a two-light window. The ground floor mirrors this arrangement, with an additional two-light window to the left. The windows have cambered lintels. There is a 19th-century canted bay window on the right end. At the back, a two-storey wing has a gable facing the entrance, with two two-light windows and one one-light window on the first floor. The ground floor features a six-panelled door to the left with glazed top panels, a three-light window, and another door. Inside, the first floor reveals the corner of the original timber-framed house, with square panels visible in fragments. The plinth, which is now plastered, can be seen on the ground floor, along with chamfered ceiling beams.
