Description
Olchon Court is a farmhouse dating from the late 15th century or early 16th century, with extensions and alterations made during the 17th century and further changes in the 20th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a 20th-century tiled roof. The building has a rectangular plan that runs east to west, featuring a through-passage, a stack at the west gable end, and an additional axial stack for the later eastern addition. There is a lean-to on part of the south side.
The south front of the farmhouse has sections that are two storeys and sections that are single storey with an attic. The earlier part of the house is on the left, which includes a 20th-century half-dormer on the left and a 2-light 20th-century window to the right, positioned below the eaves. Flanking the doorway are 2-light stone mullioned windows with chamfered jambs and a 4-centred head. Inside, the building retains a stone doorway in the cross-wall between the older section and the later extension, featuring chamfered jambs, along with further internal timber-framed partitions that have segmental headed doorways.
