Description
Greenways is a farmhouse that dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and further changes in the 20th century. Originally, it was timber-framed with wattle-and-daub infill, but it has been largely refaced with sandstone rubble, and there are later additions of the same material. The roof is tiled and was added in the 20th century. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of three bays, featuring a main axial stack and an integral stone winder staircase. The entrance front includes a 20th-century stone porch, a 2-light dormer window at the center, a 20th-century window, and a bow window on the ground floor to the left of the porch, which has a 2-light window and a glazed door. Inside, the farmhouse displays moulded and chamfered ceiling beams, along with a main fireplace that has moulded jambs and a lintel.
