Description
The Priory Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later additions and alterations from the 18th century and early 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a sandstone rubble plinth, and additional refacing in the same material, topped with a tiled roof. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with the main axial stack located at the junction of the wings and a further gable-end stack. The entrance is centrally located on the north front.
The farmhouse has two storeys and includes three 2-light casement windows on the first floor. To the left of the lean-to porch, there is one 2-light casement window, and to the right, there are two similar windows, along with an inner ledged door. Inside, the property retains moulded and chamfered ceiling beams, as well as fireplaces with chamfered stone jambs and wooden lintels. A stone winder staircase is located on the south side of the stack in the south wing.
