Cider Mill About 40 Yards North-West Of Eardisley Park

The cider mill, located about 40 yards north-west of Eardisley Park, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone mid-20th century alterations. It features handmade brick construction on a rubble base, with some timber-framing and brick infill, topped by a corrugated asbestos roof. The building has four bays arranged east to west and consists of two levels.

The two westernmost bays display two rows of panels at the upper level, along with rectangular panels at the ground floor level on the west end, which also features large lower corner braces. The west end is supported by a collar and tie-beam truss with struts and a V-strut above the collar.

On the south elevation, the two westernmost bays include two upper-level rectangular windows (one with metal bars) and a double doorway with a cambered timber arched head. The two easternmost bays have two large ground floor windows and a central doorway, with all openings having cambered heads and blue brick header details. External brick and ashlar steps at the east end provide access to a loft door.

Inside, the cider mill features stop-chamfered main ceiling beams, although the cider mill and press have been dismantled.
