Description
Walkmill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th or 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-to-late 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has painted brick infill, a sandstone rubble plinth, and a west gable end. The building features a brick shaft for the stack and is topped with a Welsh slate roof. The farmhouse has a rectangular plan with four framed bays and an axial stack, which may have backed onto a former through passage. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring two gabled dormer windows on the left, which contain 20th-century windows. On the left side, there are four small windows that are unevenly spaced within the framing, and to the right of the doorway, there are two 2-light casement windows. The entrance has a part-glazed four-panelled door and a flat-roofed canopy supported by plain wooden posts. The interior has not been inspected.
