Description
Beech House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of brick with a smooth rendered main front and squared marlstone on the right gable, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is a large L-shaped block, with an earlier wing facing the road that features two stacks on the back slope of the roof; one is off-centre to the right and the other is further right, possibly at the original gable end, indicating that the building has been extended. There is also a gable stack at the far end of the return block.
The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has a four-windowed façade, primarily featuring three-light casements with flat segmental heads, although there is a two-light casement in the left gable above a canted bay. Three gabled dormers are present on the roof. A flank door is located under a plain transom light in the second bay, which is immediately next to the canted bay. Additionally, there are two sashes with glazing bars in the left return wing.
