Description
Malthouse Farmhouse is a dwelling that was originally a farmhouse, dating from the 17th century. It is built of brick and has a stone slate roof. The structure is a long block with a very steep roof and features a stack with a lobby entrance that is slightly off-centre to the right. At the back, there is a small modern parallel range. The farmhouse has two storeys and is four-windowed, with all late 20th-century steel casements set under 18th-century rubbed brick arches that have small keystones. The brick voussoirs are supported on wood Clintols for the first-floor windows. There is a late 20th-century door and porch located at bay three. The farmhouse is grouped with the former Malthouse, which has been significantly modified.
