Description
King Street Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed and squared sandstone rubble and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan with two parallel roof ranges, resulting in four gable-end stacks. It features a central entrance and a central stairwell, and it is three storeys high with part of the building being cellared. The gable ends have raised verges, and there are two string courses at the main entrance. The facade includes five glazing-bar sash windows, with 6-pane windows on the second floor and 12-pane windows on the ground and first floors, while the rear has 3-light casement windows. The central entrance is highlighted by an open-pedimented surround and a 6-panelled door. Inside, the farmhouse retains a contemporary staircase with turned balusters.
