Description

Cwm Barn is a field barn dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame, featuring part weatherboard and part corrugated metal cladding, topped with a corrugated metal roof. The barn consists of three framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east alignment, with a central threshing floor. The trusses include two struts to the collar and V-struts to the gable ends. There are three square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate. This building is a notable small example of its type and date, although it was in poor condition at the time of the resurvey in July 1986.
