Description

Toll Cottage is a former toll house, now a residential property, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof with scalloped barge boards on the gable. The building has a three-room plan with a central projecting canted bay and a stack located at the junction of the ridges. It is a single storey structure with two 2-light casements on either side of the central canted bay, which includes a central entrance and a 2-light casement on each canted side. All openings are topped with stone wedge lintels.
