Description
Nantyglasdwr Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. It features painted rubble walls and a slate roof. The building has a five-room layout that runs from the north-east to the south-west. The second and third rooms from the north-east end are set back about 0.5 metres from the eaves line. There are stacks on the rear wall of the third and fourth rooms, with an end stack that includes an oven on the south-west gable.
The farmhouse is two storeys tall and has irregular window arrangements. On the first floor, there are five 2-light casements. The ground floor has a 20th-century door to the left, which is situated under a timber lintel. In the recessed section, there is a blocked door or window to the left, a 3-light casement, and a door in a gabled porch. To the right of the porch, there is another 3-light casement, and a 20th-century rubble porch with a lean-to roof that has a door to the left and a casement to the right. To the right of the porch, there is a single light casement. All openings that were made before the 20th century have timber lintels.
