Description

Lidiart-y-wain is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of rubble and has a tiled roof. It has an L-shaped layout, with an east/west range from the early 18th century featuring gable-end stacks, and a north/south wing that was added in the mid-19th century. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with a gable-lit attic. The mid-19th century wing projects forward to the left and has a stack and plain barge boards. The entrance is located in the right side wall and is sheltered by a gabled porch. To the right of the entrance, there are four windows: a 12-pane sash window and three 2-light casements. On the ground floor, there is a marginally glazed sash window, a 2-light casement, a half-glazed door with a gabled canopy above, and a 3-light casement. There is also a late 18th-century extension to the right, which includes a 3-light casement. Attached to the left of the north/south wing is a mid-19th century conservatory, which features a wooden frame and a ridge decorated with wrought iron.
