Description

The bridge on Newport Street in Hay on Wye was built in 1812 and has undergone later alterations. It is likely the work of surveyor John Gethin. The bridge features an elliptical arch with a keystone and a plain band above it. The parapet is stone coped, and on the west parapet, there is an inscription that reads "HCC/177".
