Description

Bridge Cottage is a former toll house that has been converted into a house, dating from the early 19th century. It features a small timber frame with painted brick infill and a stone slate roof with a ceramic ridge. The gable end faces the road and includes a single storey with a plank door that has strap hinges, set in the gable wall. Above the door is a plain bare board and a sawn-off plank finial. The left side wall has three structural bays, with 20th-century casement windows situated under an open verandah, which is supported by limber posts.
