Description
Woodlands View is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a rubble plinth, topped with an asbestos tile roof. The building is arranged in an L-plan, with a cross-wing extending to the east and another range to the south, and the main stack located at the junction of these sections.
The west front includes a gabled cross-wing on the left and two gabled dormers on the right. The ground floor has three 2-light casement windows. A 20th-century glazed porch with a lean-to slate roof provides access to a lobby situated against the stack. Inside, there are some exposed chamfered and stop beams, and the staircase behind the stack features a 17th-century splat baluster. The framing consists of three square panels high.
