Description
Church House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with extensions added in the late 17th century, and some alterations from the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. It features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill on a coursed rubble plinth, and the front is roughcast under a graduated stone tile roof. The building consists of three framed bays aligned east to west, with the eastern bay being a later addition and a rear outshut.
The south front has two storeys and includes three 2-light casement windows. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casements and a central 5-light casement window from the 20th century. The entrance, located to the left of centre, has a 20th-century half-glazed door and a 19th-century tiled canopy. The framing on the east gable features two rectangular panels high, and the gable truss has two struts supporting the collar. Inside, the central room boasts moulded ceiling beams and an inglenook fireplace with a timber lintel.
