Description

This is a 17th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill, built upon a plinth of coursed rubble, and has a roof covered in graduated stone tiles. Originally a two-bay range aligned north to south, it once had a wing on the west side, and retains a lateral stack on the west wall. The north front has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with the first floor projecting outwards. It has two windows: a three-light casement and a two-light casement. The right-hand entrance has a 17th-century door featuring nail studding and decorative strap hinges. The south front was formerly jettied but has been reconstructed on lower ground. The timber framing is arranged in two square panels and features a chamfered bressummer. Inside, there are exposed chamfered ceiling beams.
