Description
Scut Mill House is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill set on a rubble plinth, topped with a machine tile roof. The house has three bays that are aligned north to south, along with a single-bay wing to the west. There is an axial stack located to the south of the center and a rubble gable-end stack to the north.
The east front of the house is one storey with an attic that is illuminated by a gabled dormer. It has four windows, mostly 2-light casements, all equipped with plank weatherings. The entrance, positioned to the right of center, features a gabled tiled porch that was added in the 20th century. The framing consists of three square panels high.
