Description
This is a 17th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill panels set on a plinth of coursed rubble, and has a roof covered in stone tiles. The building is arranged in an H-shape, with the main north/south range having a stack at the south end, and lateral stacks to the cross-wings.
The east front has two storeys with a symmetrical arrangement of one window plus two windows plus one, all with three-light casement windows, the outer windows having stone lintels. The ground floor has two three-light casement windows to the right. The entrance, positioned to the left of centre, features a wooden architrave and a ledged and boarded door. The timber framing is visible; the first-floor panels are arranged in two squares high, while the right-hand cross-wing rises four square panels. The trusses have three struts to the collar, with V-struts in the apex of one, and raking struts forming a lozenge pattern in the other.
