Description

The Lower Terrace and Gate Piers at Garnons were built between 1814 and 1820 by William Atkinson. They are made of coursed rubble with ashlar coping. The terrace wall is approximately 250 metres long and extends in front of the early 19th-century part of the house, featuring three shallow projections and a plain parapet. At both the east and west ends of the terrace, there are a pair of octagonal gate piers that date from the same period.
