Description
Keeper's Lodge is an estate lodge built around 1865 by Nathaniel Kent. It is constructed of red brick with blue brick bands and features plain tile half-hipped and hipped roofs, along with a brick lateral stack. The building has a rectangular main range with a large porch on one side that leads to a three-storey tower with a turret. The design is in the High Victorian Italianate style.
The exterior consists of two storeys with a three-storey tower. The right side has a half-hipped gable end with a three-light bay window on the ground floor topped by a hipped roof, and a three-light window above with segmental brick arches. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. On the left side, there is a large porch with segmental brick arches that rises to a tall square three-storey tower. This tower features two-light windows on the first floor and single-light round-headed windows on the second floor, with corbelled brick eaves, a hipped roof, and a square turret that projects from the second floor. The turret has an octagonal timber lantern topped with a lead-clad tented roof and a finial. A projecting lateral stack is located on the opposite side. The interior has not been inspected.
