Description

MANSELL LACY CP - SO 44 NW 4/75 Westmoor and attached kitchen garden walls

GV II

Gardeners' house and walls. Probably early C19. Brick and rendered brick, sandstone dressings, tiled hipped roofs and brick stacks. House is aligned roughly north-west/south-east on north-east side of walled kitchen garden the entrance to which is on the same axis as the two-storey house. South- west elevation of house has three windows, glazing bar sashes, the centre one recessed in a thermal window. Ground floor has large central archway in the returns of which are two entries with six-panelled doors. Attached to each side are slightly recessed single-storey wings each with a single glazing bar sash. Walls have flat copings and are about 15 feet high with central entry on longer south side opposite house.
