Description

The Oak is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped tiled roof with brick end stacks. The building has a rectangular plan with its main front facing west. It includes a cellar and two storeys. The west elevation has three windows, which are glazing bar sashes with gauged brick heads. There is a dentilled brick eaves cornice and a brick plat band. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled glazed door, topped by a flat canopy supported by brackets. The right-hand return of the building displays the incised date "1784".
