Description

Mansell Lacy House is a house dating from the 18th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of brick with sandstone dressings, and has a pyramidal Welsh slate roof and a central brick stack. The main block faces southwest and includes a cellar and two storeys. The southeast elevation has three windows with glazing bar sashes. A stone plat band runs along the elevation, topped by a moulded stone cornice with a blocking course. A porch with an open pediment supported by two Tuscan columns provides entrance, leading to a six-panel door with a fanlight above. The left-hand return features a central full-height bay window. A low brick extension with a plaque dated "1878" is attached to the east side of the building. A raised walkway, built of sandstone rubble and supported on segmental brick arches, is attached to the north. The interior was not inspected.
